  1. The small cylindrical pipette interface with a pipette tip inserted into it. Liquid flows from the pipette tip into the microfluidic device through the pipette interface.

    Pipette Interface

    The pipette interface allows custom microfluidic devices to drop into any fluid handlers that use standard 50, 200, or 1000 μL pipette tips.
  2. The MV-1 microvalve with liquid flowing in from the left and out to the right. A second air channel is connected to the microvalve. As air pressure is applied, liquid stops flowing through the microvalve.

    MV-1 Embedded Microvalve

    The MV-1 is an embedded on/off valve used to automate microfluidic functions such as priming, mixing, and timing of fluidic events.

  3. The 1/4-28 port with a nut and ferrule threaded into it. Liquid flows from the tube into the microfluidic device through the 1/4-28 port.

    1/4-28 Port

    A flat-bottom threaded port designed to mate with standard 1/4-28 capillary tube fittings. Low dead volume and high pressure tolerance.
  4. The Luer-lock port with a barbed tube fitting connected to it. Liquid flows from the tube into the microfluidic device through the Luer-lock port.

    Luer-Lock Port

    A conical port designed to mate with standard male luer fittings. A great choice for applications that require soft tubing or lower pressures.
  5. The 250 microliter reservoir. Liquid flows from the microfluidic device into the reservoir.

    250 Microliter Reservoir

    A conical bottom sample reservoir for gravity driven flow or interfacing with an external manifold. Sized to fit within spacing standards for 96 well microplates.
